Toulouse
Toulouse stands as the leading technology metropolis of Southwest France, driven by a world-class industrial ecosystem in aerospace, space systems, and embedded technologies. The fourth largest city in France and the capital of the Occitanie region, it generates sustained IT demand from major corporations in aerospace and defense, research institutions, and a dense network of innovative SMEs, with over 4,000 digital companies and 56,000 jobs in the tech sector. The local colocation infrastructure is supported by several datacenter operators covering requirements ranging from individual racks and cages to private suites. The city benefits from dense national fiber connectivity, particularly via major transit routes linking Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, and Madrid. Its geographic positioning makes it a relevant distribution point for serving Iberian markets and North Africa with low latencies. French regulatory frameworks apply, including GDPR and the Military Programming Law requirements for operators of vital importance, which is particularly relevant for the aerospace and defense sector stakeholders concentrated in the region.

Climate
Toulouse has a temperate climate with oceanic and Mediterranean influences. Winter temperatures range between 2 and 10 °C in January, while summers are warm with averages of 19 to 29 °C in July and August, and heat episodes occasionally exceeding 35 °C. This thermal profile offers significant free cooling potential outside the summer months, particularly from November to March, when night and daytime temperatures favor natural equipment cooling. Relative humidity is high in winter (around 80–85%), requiring rigorous condensation management. Increasingly frequent summer heat waves demand appropriately sized mechanical cooling systems to maintain competitive PUE ratings year-round.
Transport
Toulouse-Blagnac International Airport (TLS) is located approximately 8 km from the city center, with direct routes to Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, and numerous other European destinations. Toulouse-Matabiau railway station provides TGV connections to Paris (approximately 4 hours) and regional rail services toward Bordeaux, Montpellier, and Narbonne. On the road network, Toulouse sits at the junction of the A61 (toward Narbonne and the Mediterranean), the A62 (toward Bordeaux), the A64 (toward the Pyrenees and Spain), and the A68 (toward Albi and Castres), forming a major motorway node in Southwest France.
