Luxembourg
Luxembourg is establishing itself as one of Europe's most strategic colocation markets. Located at the crossroads of Germany, France and Belgium, the country offers an ideal geographical position to serve Europe's major economic centres with minimal latency. The Grand Duchy is a natural crossing point for fibre optic routes connecting London, Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam, the four pillars of the European data centre market. The Luxembourg data centre ecosystem benefits from a dense network infrastructure, with several interconnection points including LU-CIX, the national Internet Exchange, which facilitates peering between operators. Energy costs remain competitive thanks to a diversified energy mix and stable supply contracts. The country is attracting a growing number of operators offering colocation solutions ranging from individual racks to private suites, suitable for both SMEs and large international companies. Luxembourg's regulatory framework is fully compliant with European law (GDPR) while offering a particularly structured legal environment for the financial and technology sectors. The country has adopted specific laws on data protection and electronic archiving, making it a preferred destination for hosting sensitive data in the finance, insurance and investment fund sectors.

Climate
Luxembourg enjoys a temperate oceanic climate with mild winters (averages of 0 to 3 °C in January) and moderate summers (averages of 17 to 19 °C in July). These conditions are favourable for data centre operations, allowing significant use of free cooling for much of the year, particularly from October to April. Average relative humidity is around 75-80%, requiring appropriate management but without major constraints. This climate profile helps to maintain an optimised PUE for colocation facilities.
Transport
Luxembourg-Findel International Airport, located approximately 6 km from the city centre, provides direct connections to major European capitals. The rail network connects Luxembourg City to Paris (~2 hours 10 minutes by TGV), Brussels (~3 hours) and major German cities. The motorway network is dense and well maintained, with direct routes to Metz, Trier, Liège and Brussels, facilitating maintenance work and the physical deployment of equipment.
