Located in Bruges (33520), on the immediate outskirts of Bordeaux, the Equinix IBX BX1 is the first carrier-neutral data center in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. It offers 516 m² of secure colocation space, with a minimum density of 4 kVA per rack and 230V/400V power distribution.
The infrastructure features N+1 power and cooling redundancy, a generator runtime of over 30 hours at full load, and a guaranteed availability of 99.999%. Fire suppression uses Novec gas, with HSSD/VESDA aspirating detection for optimal protection of IT equipment. Access is secured by on-site security guards and an airlock (mantrap).
BX1 is powered 100% by renewable energy (GoOs, EU countries that are members of the AIB) and is certified to ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 22301, HDS, PCI DSS, SOC 1 & 2 Type II, the EU Code of Conduct, and the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact.
