Phocea DC is a data center located in Marseille, designed as a sovereign, locally based alternative to the major players that dominate the hosting market. Spanning 1,700 square meters, the site is entirely funded by French investors and relies exclusively on French suppliers. This sovereignty allows it to remain immune to non-European legislation such as the Cloud Act or FISA, which can pose a risk to your data.
You host your equipment in a colocation environment within a professional infrastructure: cooling systems, redundant power supplies, and advanced security measures guarantee the availability and protection of your data.
Technical specifications:
- Floor space: 1,700 m²
- Power: 1.2 MW capacity, latest-generation inverters, target PUE of 1.2 for nearly 100% efficiency in the power chain
- Connectivity: high-speed broadband and network redundancy, with an ecosystem of on-site operators (including Megaport)
- Security and compliance: HDS (health data), PCI DSS (banking data), ISO 27001 (information security), and ISO 22301 (business continuity) certifications, supplemented by ISO 14001 (environmental management)
Environmental commitment is at the heart of the project: a fully renovated building, heat recovery, and free cooling technologies. Phocea DC thus combines digital growth with a reduced environmental footprint.
The hosting solutions are designed for local and national stakeholders: local governments, healthcare facilities, digital companies, telecom operators, IT service providers, and startups in the region. As a company on a human scale that stays close to its customers, Phocea DC contributes to the sustainable economic development of Marseille and its surrounding region.
