Gigalis
Specializing in digital infrastructure development in the Pays de la Loire region, Gigalis is a regional public operator founded in 2000 under the name Megalis before becoming a Public Interest Group comprising 38 member local governments and public institutions as of January 2025. Its mission is to ensure reliable and sovereign connectivity for regional public entities, drawing on a network of in-house-built fiber in unserved areas and dark fiber lease agreements with local public-initiative networks.
Gigalis’ portfolio includes dedicated fiber-to-the-office (FTTO) service at speeds of up to 10 Gbps with 99.9% availability and a 4-hour restoration guarantee, as well as shared fiber-optic service, IRU-based leasing of ducts and dark fiber, and Internet access as a transit provider. Gigalis also operates as a carrier provider, making its infrastructure available to other telecom operators, while offering sovereign cloud and cybersecurity services for critical infrastructure.
