Globalconnect
With a presence in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and northern Germany, GlobalConnect has established itself as one of Northern Europe’s leading providers of digital infrastructure, handling more than half of the data traffic exchanged in the Nordic countries on its own.
Founded in 1998 and formed through the 2019–2020 merger of the operators Broadnet, GlobalConnect, and IP-Only, the group operates an interconnected fiber-optic network spanning over 150,000 kilometers, supplemented by approximately 35,000 m² of data center space spread across some 20 sites.
Through its dedicated unit, GlobalConnect Carrier, the group provides international operators, system integrators, and major technology players with dark fiber, carrier Ethernet, wavelength, and IP solutions, as well as data center hosting services intended for resale.
Its central backbone connects Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, and Malmö, with submarine extensions to Denmark and Finland, and a recently deployed ultra-high-capacity link between northern Sweden and Germany. This network serves approximately 30,000 B2B customers in multi-cloud environments.
