Lillix

The LillIX network serves as the Internet exchange point for the Lille Eurometropolis, located at the intersection of the London, Paris, and Brussels routes. Its points of presence are located in the neutral data centers Etix Lille #1, Lille #2, and Lille #3, spread across the metropolitan areas of Lille and Valenciennes. LillIX is also interconnected with LyonIX, Lyon’s IXP-NAP platform, which allows its members’ prefixes to be visible to networks connected to Lyon—and vice versa—without requiring any manual intervention on their part. Open to any entity with an autonomous system number, LillIX offers local peering between telecom operators, ISPs, hosting providers, and large enterprises in northern France. The goal is to improve the quality and control of interconnection for all connected parties by reducing the number of network hops to regional and international destinations. This infrastructure contributes to the development of the local digital economy and facilitates low-latency access to major European digital hubs.
