Lu-cix

LU-CIX operates its points of presence in several secure data centers in Luxembourg, notably in Kirchberg, Betzdorf, Kayl, and Windhof, thereby providing geographic redundancy to the networks connected to them. Founded in 2009 through a cross-sector initiative and further strengthened in 2011 by its merger with the former national LIX node operated by the Restena Foundation, LU-CIX is now the leading neutral and independent Internet exchange point in Luxembourg. The organization is a member of the Euro-IX association and participates in the MANRS program for securing Internet routing. The services offered by LU-CIX include public and bilateral IP peering between operators, Internet service providers, and international content providers, as well as voice traffic exchange via its VoIP-X service, which is based on the SIP protocol. The organization is also a stakeholder in MyConnectivity G.I.E., a public-private initiative launched in partnership with the Luxembourg government to expand access to ultra-high-speed connectivity on a national and international scale.
