The 1&1 Versatel network spans approximately 65,000 kilometers of fiber-optic cable in Germany and is available in more than 350 cities, making it one of the country’s most extensive infrastructures. Its backbone consists of four core data centers, about 20 edge data centers, and nearly 300 far-edge sites, which were recently upgraded with optical transmission technology enabling speeds of up to 800 Gbit/s. 1&1 Versatel offers high-availability data transit solutions for carriers and Internet service providers, as well as voice interconnection services for the routing and termination of domestic and international calls.
