Init7

Founded in Winterthur in 2000 and remaining a privately held Swiss company, Init7 operates its own IP backbone based on a redundant ring architecture connected by multiple 10-gigabit fiber links. The network relies on approximately 300 FTTH points of presence and some 60 IP nodes distributed across Switzerland, Europe, and the United States, giving it access to more than 90% of Switzerland’s fiber access network. Thanks to its open peering policy, Init7 maintains several thousand direct peering agreements with other networks, enhancing the performance and availability of its international connections. For businesses, Init7 offers Fiber7 Business with symmetric connections of up to 25 Gbit/s that can be combined into various service tiers, as well as IP Transit and Data Center Access solutions ranging from 1 to 100 Gbit/s via dedicated Internet access or BGP multihoming. Its offering also includes dark fiber and Ethernet services for site interconnection, designed for hosting providers, ISPs, and Swiss businesses seeking a high-performance IP infrastructure with transparent routing.
